TAKE ACTION

PUT PRESSURE ON MAERSK AHEAD OF THEIR AGM

Maersk continues to fuel the genocide in Gaza and endless wars in the region, sending countless shipments carrying everything from tactical vehicles to parts for armored tanks and aircraft and artillery systems to the Israel military. On March 25, 2026–Maersk’s Annual General Meeting–they have the chance to change their course.

At Maersk’s upcoming AGM, shareholders have the chance to vote on resolutions calling on Maersk to cut ties with genocide by demanding 1) Maersk’s disclosure on human rights due diligence and 2) ending Maersk’s shipment of military cargo to Israel, and we have the power to pressure them to vote YES on these resolutions.

Follow the steps below to tell Maersk to cut ties with genocide and join us on March 18th for a digital day of action and power hour to apply pressure on Maersk!

To whom it may concern:

As Maersk approaches its Annual General Meeting, I urge you to take a stand for justice and human rights. Maersk’s continued transportation of military cargo for the Israeli Ministry of Defense has directly enabled the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and wars in the Middle East region. This is a moment for Maersk’s ESG leadership to align its business practices with its stated commitments to human rights, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Since October 2023, an estimated nearly 400,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. The destruction of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, agricultural land, and environmental ecosystem due to relentless bombardment is a humanitarian and ecological catastrophe. By shipping military cargo and equipment, Maersk plays an active role in making genocide and war possible. Maersk has been carrying everything from tactical vehicles to parts for armored tanks and aircraft and artillery systems to the Israeli army and currently has a shipment headed to the Elbit ammo factory amidst the US-Israel war on Iran. Maersk’s complicity is no secret. It has already been confirmed by Maersk’s head of communications that they indeed are transporting cargo to Israel as part of the US-Israel security program that has provided $17.9 billion of US military aid to Israel.

As an ESG leader, you have the power to demand accountability within Maersk. I call on you to vote in favor of resolutions that urge Maersk to cease the transportation of military cargo to Israel, and push for an immediate review of all defense-related contracts, including those with the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

Maersk cannot claim to be a company that values diversity, inclusion, and sustainability while allowing for the transport of such large quantities of military cargo to Israel during a time of genocide and war in the Middle East region.

Maersk has an obligation to avoid contributing to war crimes and uphold its promise to adhere with the UN guiding principles listed in its code of conduct.

I urge you to take decisive action to end Maersk’s transportation of military cargo for Israel and align its operations with ethical business standards.
