Our latest report reveals that Maersk has shipped munition components to Israel since October 2023, including parts for bullets, bombs, mortars, projectile bodies, and other ordnance. It specifically identifies shipments of bullet cores and brass case cups, MK-80 and MPR bomb bodies, aluminum powder used in explosive filling, and 120mm mortar components to Elbit Systems subsidiaries.

I'm calling because I am deeply concerned about Maersk's transport of military cargo to Israel, including bullet, bombs and mortar components which Maersk has publicly denied over the last two years.
Recent reporting by the Palestinian Youth Movement and Oxfam Denmark has exposed shipments that directly challenge Maersk’s claim that it does not ship ammunition to Israel. By shipping munitions components, Maersk plays an active role in making genocide and war possible. For two years of genocide, Maersk made thousands of shipments to Elbit Systems facilities, carrying cargo that would be used throughout Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Maersk’s complicity is no secret. It has already been confirmed by Maersk’s head of communications that they indeed are transporting cargo to Israel as part of the US-Israel security program that has provided $17.9 billion of US military aid to Israel. Additionally, they have also been named as a complicit actor in the genocide on Gaza in a report presented for the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). And new evidence shows that Maersk’s claims and assurances are false, as they have been transporting munition components to Israel throughout the genocide. This puts them in potential violation of International Law . Your company has blood on its hands.
I implore you to not miss another opportunity to change course. You have the opportunity now to stop shipping military cargo for the Israeli Ministry of Defense.

I'm deeply concerned about Maersk's transport of bullet, bombs and mortar components to Israel—an act Maersk has publicly and formally tried to deny over the last two years.
Since October 2023, Maersk has shipped over 2.7 million kg of munitions components with the final destination of Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer. This continued transportation of munitions and military cargo has directly enabled the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza in which an estimated 400,000 Palestinians have been killed. The destruction of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, agricultural land, and environmental ecosystem due to relentless bombardment is a humanitarian and ecological catastrophe.
By shipping military cargo and equipment, Maersk plays an active role in making genocide and war possible. Maersk has been carrying everything from tactical vehicles to parts for armored tanks and aircraft and artillery systems to the Israeli army and now evidence shows Maersk’s role in shipping bullets, bombs, and mortar components directly to Israel despite their public denials of transporting munitions. Maersk’s complicity is no secret. It has already been confirmed by Maersk’s head of communications that they indeed are transporting cargo to Israel as part of the US-Israel security program that has provided $17.9 billion of US military aid to Israel. Maersk cannot claim to be a company that values diversity, inclusion, and sustainability while allowing for the transport of such large quantities of munitions components and military cargo to Israel during a time of genocide and war in the Middle East region.
Maersk has an obligation to avoid contributing to war crimes and uphold its promise to adhere with the UN guiding principles listed in its code of conduct.
I urge you to take decisive action to end Maersk’s transportation of military cargo for Israel and align its operations with ethical business standards.
